The School

Plaistow Primary School and Children’s Centre is situated in the Plaistow North Ward of Newham. We are a two form entry school that opened in 2002 with the children’s centre opening in 2009. Class sizes are no bigger than 30 and the current school role is 440 pupils.

The school has 16 classrooms, a purpose built ICT suite and a well equipped nursery unit. Our grounds consist of a large playground, a purpose built ball court and a grassed area with climbing equipment and activity trail.

Pupils at Plaistow come from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds 71% of our pupils are bi-lingual. There are currently 28 different languages spoken within our school community.
